C5 Cure For Hiccups
I just posted this in another forum, but realized that the story is good enough that I ought to post it here, too.
My 14-year-old had the hiccups today as we were leaving the house. I was giving him a ride to his friend's house. Weather was great, so we had the top down. On the way out to the car, I tried to get him to lose his hiccups by holding his breath. Didn't work.
Once we got out onto the main boulevard, there were no other cars around, so I dropped it into 3rd and floored it from a 20 MPH roll, just to get it up to the 45 MPH limit, VERY QUICKLY. Let out with a nice roar from the Ti's when I stomped it like that.
I turned to look over at him and without missing a beat, my wide-eyed, stunned kid goes "Well, the hiccups are gone NOW!"
And they were.
