HID kit bulb jiggle

here is a copy of what i posted before:
I think there are 2 issues. The first one is that the HID housings weigh somewhere around 3.5lbs each and the stockers were about 1.8
This extra dangling weight is probably pushing what the stock setup was designed to deal with.
The second issue is, in fact the razor sharp cutoff. I am certian that the stock headlights do the same sort of jiggle, but it was never noticed before because they were so washed out and unfocused.
I took apart my housings and modified the linkage. You will find that there is TONS of wiggle when you have the housings fully opened. The wiggle is in the pin that is on the lever that raises the housings. if the pin was just *that* much bigger, it would not wiggle.
I tried jamming a small cotter pin in with the pin, it would not stay...it was too big. I managed to get a small zip tie wedged in with the pin. That helped somewhat, but I was still unhappy.
I ended up pulling the pin completely and moving the acutator arm around a bit. I dont remember exactly how i did it, because it was a while ago.
My best suggestion for you is to take the bezel and lamp door cover off and find the where it wiggles and attempt to get it to stop. It takes some time and inginuity, but you will be able to get about 75% of the jiggle out of the lights.
