Default Shorty Antenna????

Does anyone have any experience with Mid America's Shorty antenna's reception in general or in a rural area?
TIA

I made my own using my OEM antenna.... just cut it to length, and then removed the brass ball from the end and placed it on the shorty.. excellent reception....

I have one and they do not get as good reception as the OEM mast.
But look better IMO. On long road trips in BFE I just swap out for the original.

Default Wal Mart to the Rescue

Believe it or not, I found 12" high, black vinyl coated universal antenna with the requisite wound coils in Wal Mart. Its thin with a small plastic base. I live in a very rural area and it has better reception than the stock Corvette standard antenna I replaced it with. I bought it 5 years ago for my black Taurus. Didn't like the look and threw it on the shelf. Tried it when I got my Black FRC last year. I like the look. I think it was 15.00. Wish I kept the packaging. Look around the Mart, KMart, the Auto stores for shorty antennas with universal adapters. They're not expensive.
