well it was done on a C6. The baseline 345 HP was boosted to the mid 500 range with a STS rear mounted twin turbo setup. The results were quite good for a essentially bolt on installation.
It's also worth mentioning that with the turbos in the rear, there was about a half second turbo lag from dead stop. The performance gains probably could have been a little more if they'd used an actual Dyno PCM tune instead of the handheld predator programmer.
Thanks for the link! Man, smog legal, 200 HP gain AND improved gas mileage?!! Do they make these things for C5's? Tell me where to go, how much $$$$ to bring and SIGN ME UP!!

yes STS makes a system for the C5. There is a new kit out as well from APS they have their turbos located up front like most cars.
You don't get out much huh Seriously... venture and browse the FI/Nitrous forum some... the cars those guys build are incredible.
I am simply amazed that people have never heard of a rear mount turbo system. Please visit the FI/Nitrous part of the forum lots of good info to be had.
Nice gains but watching those guys put it on is almost comical. They move like they have no idea how to really put it together, plus they are just throwing parts up banging them off stuff like when they put the intercooler in it was kinda like let see how much of the front bumper we can force up behind itself, oops didnt work lets yank it back down to jam the intercooler in.

I'd love to have this setup, but you are looking at around $8500-$9000 just for the system, PLUS $$$ for a good install!!! Unless you did it yourself!!

WTF!!! AAAOOOOOGAH!!! Okay, never mind. Way too much dinero for just the parts. Besides, knowing me, I'd get the thing all installed and then ten grand later, decide that I couldn't stand the drone at highway speeds. Besides, I really don't need the power. But if it were half the price, I'd still WANT the power.
that is just too cool
any idea on the cost for a C5 ? they made it look like a simple install
$7,120 from there website, those shows alway's make it look easy due to time constaraints.
It looked to me like a lot of stuff(hardware) to install and you need a tune after and not somthing you may want to try in the driveway, so there's a shop's labor charge to.
In theory it's seems like a great ide/setup great power #'s without breaking open the motor. Probably not for me considering the cost

Okay, that's it. I'm out.
