Anyway, I say Blackwing, it's cheap, easy to install, has a cool name, and looks cool.
I'm getting a C6Z shifter put in tomorrow. I had the B&M and the piece of s*** tore up on me.
You need to keep the Titanium exhaust and put headers, delete the cats(if you don't have emission tests, otherwise go with over-sized cats), and get an x-pipe. That's my plan. I had the Magnaflow Magnapack, and after an hour of cruising at 1700-2100 I had a headache. I also love the sound of the Ti.
Get a 90mm intake and Throttle body and smooth bellow and airbridge. Cheapest mods to get HP.
After that, if you have money, time to go Head and Cam. But that's a different story for a different day. Not sure if I'm even going to go that far.
ive heard that about the after market shifters and think i am going to try to find a C6Z shifter
i dont really want to do headers right now so im thinking a Borla cat back and save the rest for new wheels
im glad to see there are some other young people driving vette's to i know im sure glad to finally be in one, but ive spent the last two years in Mach 1's and Lightnings so im not going to complain to much
i think im going to give the blackwing a shot to, what bellow will work with it?
I just want to make sure the two of you know you're both living charmed lives to have your own Z06 Corvette at your respective ages. I'm sure you get that a lot!

i just want you to know that i really respect that you respond to our posts the way you do and not telling us we are to young and imature to handle such cars
i'm right with you guys. i'm 18 and have had my Z for almost a year. which i saved up and paid for myself. i don't blame most guys on the forums for giving us crap, because most kids are age would be stupid with our cars. but there are those certain few who can be responsible with these cars.
but if i were you, i would keep your age on the downlow in future posts. unless you have a good flame-suit on.
Well since this seems to be the coming out place for young C5 Z06 owners, I'm 17 and just got myself into one this past December. I saved up and bought it from a member off this forum, and I have enjoyed it very much since then.
I'm going to leave my car as is and get more experience behind the wheel before I decide I need more power... This car is fast enough for me. As for the shifter, I would say the C6 Z06 shifter is a wise choice, but I really do not know much about the C5 intakes so I will just read and learn and create my own opinion later
