if money was no object and you could pick any off the shelf cold air intake or filter setup what would it be?

im trying to justify the Callaway Honker's price, but i really want to do this right the first time

and yes ive read many many many threads about this

and i still dont know what the callaway seems to do better then anything else, i hate buying into internet hype

who cares....a cold air intake is only going to get you 5-10rwhp at the most. get a descent one and save the extra $200 for something else

I have a Honker and it's built very well. I do feel a difference but not a huge difference.

I switched from Z06 airbox to Blackwing and gained nearly nothing in 1/4 mile; IMHO the bigger air filters don't really do much by themselves, gotta get to some cooler air a' la Vararam or Honker or the like. If I hadda do it agin, I'd go Honker. Live and learn.

I have the Vararam and like it, I switch from a Blackwing. If you are thinking about a Honker, I would check out this thread. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...hlight=diy+cai Looked like a pretty good mod to me, and if I didn't already have the Vararam, I probably would have tried it.

I'd just put a Blackwing on it.

I have a Vortex w/ the clear box and a wider air bridge... relatively low cost (bought the stuff used), looks great, and perfroms great.

I really love the looks and oem quality of the Honker, but I can't justify the money for no gain.

Get the Callaway - great fit/finish/quality/functionality.

I had the VaraRam B2 first and hated it...

Depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want a name brand for people to drool over, go with the Honker. If you want one that produces proven results, go with the VaraRam. You won't see much gain on the dyno with either. You may see a little more out of the Honker on the dyno. At the track is a different story, the VaraRam will kill anything.
