I just finished my upgrading the base seats on my 2000 FRC with Sport seat skins and new foams. What a difference. I went with a few upgrades to the seat frame by taking 1/4" tubing and sliced one side to slip over the bolster area on the seat backs and hot glued them on. This should keep the sharp edge of the seat from cutting the bolster foam and seat cover.

ED, When I removed the old foam the bolster area had a cut in the foam, also the seat bottoms had deep lines from the seat wires. I hope the closed cell foam helps to stop the wires from cutting the new foam.
