Default Help with dyno interpretation

But am not sure if I understand the whole dyno numbers vs SAE corrected numbers. Which is the actual HP/TQ the car "made"? Am I right in thinking the SAE corrected is more accurate? The guy dyno's the car on a very cold snowy day with the garage door open...I'm thinking the corrected #'s are more likely....
I should also mention that most magazines they I have read report 'with the SAE correction factor'...so I'm guessing this the the # that counts???

Anyone?

The corrected number is what we all look at. It takes into consideration weather conditions that we can't. Like temp, humidity, etc.

actually it would mainly be used to correct factors like elevation. easiest way to explain it is it is a form of standardizing numbers

After viewing that thread I can understand your confusion. In fact, I think the car owner is confused. In the first post he states the SAE numbers as higher than the "After Tune" numbers (presumably uncorrected). Unless something else was done other than applying the SAE correction factor after the tune, that's backwards. Further, in #9, he posts the dyno sheet showing only two pulls (the baseline #s contradict his statement in #1)...and neither of them is indicated as STD or SAE. The final pull (390.6rwhp / 371rwt) also shows as dangerously lean a/f until pretty high in the rpm range.

I have to believe that these are not the final numbers (and CAM has too good a reputation to have made these kind of rookie mistakes).
