Got a set of 19/20 cray wheels and finally said the heck with the DIC warnings all the time so I ordered a set of tire pressure monitors for my04 coupe, had them installed today and for the last hour I have been trying to teach them to work. I did my research here on the forum and I have had no luck with the magnet procedure. I have only gotten 1 wheel to set my horn off, I even tryed putting my factory wheels next to the car and couldnt get the horn to go off with the magnet. Anyone have this similiar problem Tom

I use the type of magnet on a stick that you get at home centers for picking up loose screws and nails. I have found that i need to put it alongside the stem, pushed right up to the base of the stem. I think the magnet needs to actually exert it's force on the main body of the sensor, so get it as close to the wheel as you can.
perhaps for someone in the future (assuming anyone pays any attention to this ).... Train your sensors BEFORE you physically install them in the wheels.

I assume you have tried moving the magnet around a bit next to the valve stem. A relatively strong magnet should have no problems training the sensors. If all else fails, go to the Chevy dealer and see if they can get them to train.
