Default Dash lights problem??

Tonight when I turned on my headlights my dash lights did not come on. This is the third or fourth time this has happened. If I fiddle with the ***** (dimmer and headlight) still nothing, but I revved the engine and they came on. After they come on they will continue to work on and off as i turn on and off the lights, but if I shut off the car then I have the same thing happen.

Also, the center two switches on the right hand side of the instrument cluster (I forget what the center ones are) do not light at all. Maybe a bad bulb, how do I get to these?

Thanks! Oh, by the way I was not out driving (too cold and wet) but I was fitting my new hood. I cant wait to post pictures. As soon as it is painted I will post some pic's.

Sounds like the center bulb is burned out. Follow the instructions at Vette Essentials web site to install the gauge bezels to take it apart. It should be about 2 hours round trip if your first time. Hint; you probably don't have to disconnect the fuel door release (PITA to get back on), just loosen slide the center console back as far as it will go and you can wiggle out the radio bezel.

Sorry, but can't help with the rest of the problem other than to say wierd electrical things happen when the battery is going.
