a grand for hid's???. i would get a nice 6000k plug and play hid kit. shouldnt run you more than 250 and install shouldnt take more than 20mins... very easy install.

dont get replacement bulbs... they are a waste of money IMHO

NTRBL33 is a supporting vendor here and has been selling his kits for $300 shipped. He has posted that his next shipment with some 8000k are coming in this or next week and yes same price. Check his post out. I have his in both my C5's and they are awesome! The bulbs are GEN III newest from Taiwan and the ballast don't require relays and any extra wires for fuses (theres only one connection). I would put these up against those $1200. projector HID's anytime. Plus when you sell the car just switch back to stockers in 10 mins.

I've been tempted to switch to HID's, but I'm not sure how much brighter they would be than the lights I already have. I currently have 100W dims and 130W brights. They seem to work pretty good as I can see waaaaaay out there.

Another alternative would be the European Vette lights -T84. All glass and double the lighting. It uses one H4 bulb each. I will say it seems to almost double the light output vs stock.

wattage does not matter as far as brightness is concerned. you need to look at the lumen output rating.

the ACA HID low beams I use only use 35 watts of power but put out 3200 lumens each.
