So I just got my 403 back in the car and the slave cylinder started leaking. Threw the car up on the lift and three hours later it was out... thought ya'll might enjoy the pics
This is the scenario:
1 - floor jack with an old traction bar holding up the motor.
1 - Hoist with a ratchet strap holding up the torque tube.
1 - Transmission jack holding up the rearend cradle.
1 - Traction bar (the other one) balancing the rearend on the Transmission Jack
I would love to trade my four post lift in for a two poster...
(take me 1/2 hour just to get the car up and on jack stands on the lift)
How long?? Oh that's right, you're "mechanically challenged", I forgot!!
Giving ya hard time bud!!!
I use two small bottle jacks and jack stands on each end.. Quick and easy!! Very safe and well supported with the jack stands. Bottle jacks are only for lifting.
Maybe when Nouman gets his "junker" up and running, we can take a road trip down to help you fix that throw-out bearing... I WISH!!!
Jeff, are you doing all this work by yourself in your own garage?
This is actually in my buddies garage... but i have more tools than he does, and i know where all of mine are. Thats my complaint for working over there. But he does have the lift Otherwise yes, i do all the work on my car out of my garage usually

Damn bro! That's pretty impressive how well you know your way around the engine bay & drive line to be able to pull the motor out completely and drop in a new one! Have you ever installed a torque converter?
