harmonic balancer wobbling?
My car makes a 'knocking sound' when I turn it on after it has been sitting for awhile.. some one told me on here previously it was piston slapping, but I am still very concerned about it. It seems like the harmonic balancer is wobbling? Could this make the knocking sound? would the sound go away once the car warms up? Is this something I should be very concerned about? thanks in advance

The balancer shouldnt be wobbling, if it is I would check to see that it is on all the way. The bolt that is used to hold the balancer on is a torque to yeild bolt. That means once it is removed you have to replace it or it will walk it self out.
