Default Cannot open right hood latch...help

The Corvette has been stored at a safe location (The real story is archived). Stopped by yesterday to check on it and to move it so access to the garage loft was available to its owner. The Battery Tender wasn't plugged in but it started right up anyway. When I try to open the hood to put it back to sleep for the winter, I couldn't get the Rt side hood latch to open. Left side was ok. Tried it a few times with the same results. Would really like to get the Battery Tender on for the rest of the winter.

Any suggestions on how to get the Rt side hood latch to pop?

Thanks,
Dan

Try getting two people. Have one pull the latch at the same time the other one tries lifting the hood.

Maybe your release cable is stretched or broken.

Did you try the two person idea yet ?

I look through service manual tonight to see if there are any emergency releases like the gas and rear coupe hatch have.

When you do the 2 people routine, press down on the right side, while the release is being pulled, and then lift.

I haven't tried that one yet, but it makes sense. Could give the cable that little extra on the right side so the left disengages.

Thanks guys,
Dan

Did you get it opened? If so, what did you wind up doing?
