Default Newb header question

Is there a good long tube setup that will let me retain my current stock replacement corsa x-pipe? I looked at LGM, Dynatech, and American Racing and it seems like they all use proprietary X pipes.

Also, I have a 99 and don't want to have to change air tubes if possible (like you have to with an LGM setup), so that would be cool too.

Jon

I had a Corsa X-pipe along with my Corsa Touring exhaust when I got my Dynatech headers. I used the X-pipe that came with the headers and sold the Corsa X in the parts for sale section. It helped offset the cost of the headers. That might be an option for you.

I would suppose you could just buy the LT header without the X-pipe and run whatever you wanted back there too.

Its just easiest to buy a complete bolt on system and then just sell your current X-pipe. I recommend the American racing kit. They make great power and are the easiest to install. If you need a price on a set,m just shoot me a PM..

Just put some LG Streets and X-pipe on my son's 2000 FRC they look good, fit perfect and sound great. $895 complete with X-pipe 100% bolt on and air tube location based on you model year.

By the time you mod the existing Corsa X-pipe (shorten and increase inlet size or flange the header and X-pipe) it's not worth it.

I would go with a new X and sell the Corsa X.

I agree with the above advice to sell your current X-pipe and go with the one that matches your headers. Also, Unless LG told you different, they have headers with the proper air tubes for 97-00 listed on their site.. http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog...oducts_id=1429

I bought used TPISs and had my stock cats fitted to them at an exhaust shop. My Corsa X fits normal on the other end of cats. Just another option.
