I want to say tape on- reason I say this is carmax local here has an 04 comm Z16 Z06 that someone has removed the stripes from...which I thought was strange...I like the Lemans blue color...but it was missing something...it had the polished wheels, comm badges and the seat had the C5 logo rather then the Z06 ones...I also thought the hood was carbon fiber- part of the stripe shows a carbon fiber pattern which lead me to believe they left a spot of CF so you could see it...but I guess it was just in the sticker- this car had a solid blue hood....

Cheers!

The 04 z06 CE is actually a silver car. The blue part is in fact, a sticker.

They are decals. Check with Mike76002 if you want a set like the factory ones.

I think the oem stripes are still available from dealers. These are the ones that have the "carbon fiber" between the red/grey. Not cheap, but they look great. I have them on my CE vert.
If you want an oem set, let me know. I have an extra set. Again, not cheap but well below dealer prices.
