Just dont tell people what you dont like about there car. Just have fun and if you win you win and if you don't you don't. I have had people ask all kinds of questions I dont think any of them were rude.
Don't touch other peoples car, or sit in them without their consent. I hate spending the whole day or weekend detailing and have someone leave finger prints or smudges.

Good advice.....
I like answering any and all questions and remember, many of the folks do not know Corvettes like we do here on the forum, so don't think their questions are dumb. You will be asked some questions that appear dumb at first, but then you just have to remember, they know nothing about Corvettes, and there's nothing wrong with that.
what questions can you ask? are some topics rude (like maybe... how much did you pay for it?)
thanks,
hk
It's all good in my opinion and just a part of the "entertainment".
The only thing I'd recommend not doing, is showing up with a really filthy and unprepared vehicle and then having the gall to **** and moan about not winning anything.

Never touch the other cars, period. I don't ask what people paid for things, but I will ask where they got something if I like it. I always try to answer a question regardless of how nutty it may sound - the person may just not know that much about the car. Most of all, just be polite and have a good time. Car shows can be a blast.
When detailing near other cars do not ever use any kind of spray-on tire shine. The stuff goes everywhere, and I've seen people get very angry when they find it on their flawless finish.

That's some funny shet! I just had a visual and I can't stop laughing...
once saw a kid drop 2 big scoops of chocolate ice cream on an engine in a fully detailed C1 Vette at a show. so my comment is don't eat or drink to close to the show cars.
Be courteous, no trashtalking, if you didn't pay for it keep your hands off, answer questions on how you wish, bring a chair and refreshements (icy cold beer in a thermos), and enjoy yourself!
Usually jsut be polite and enjoy yourseld and don't lean on others Vettes.
You'll usually pay about $25 - $35 bucks to go to one! My wife and I go just to talk to other Vette owners see their mods and all the other generations and enter the raffles and hopefuly win sompin' for the Vette.
You'll love it, take a camera and snap some shots! People love to hear "Ohh man can we take a picture of your Vette"! Shoot man, what would you say? I thought so!

All good advice above...my motto is if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. We all have our own visions of what mods look good and which ones don't. If you see one that is hedious, just keep walking. And if you see something that looks good ask, "do you mind me asking how you did that"...99% of the guys and gals will be flattered you ask and will take the time to walk you through it.
Finally, if you're standing around a bunch of guys who are trash talking someone else's ride, don't give into the temptation to join in. Take the higher road and keep quiet and if it really gets out of hand, walk away.
Car shows are one of the best parts of this hobby...you just got to keep away from the political landminds
