I tried posting this in wheels, but nobody is home,, so will try here,, i have an 04 convertable that i want to put new wheels on with my exsisting tires, they only have 4800 miles on them, will the tire pressure monitor sensor work or not in an after market rim?? thanks, rj

Mine,s a 98 and my mechanic used the same tires and sensors. No problems here.

They should. I kept my same tires and got new wheels and they work fine.

I had a small problem with air leakage, but a fatter o-ring solved the problem.

Just pulled mine from the stock wheels and installed in aftermarket's today....No problems what-so-ever, and still worked on start-up, no re-training necessary.
