Update on facelift
OK..Stopped at the garage Thursday and took some progress pics. They already had her in the paint booth to paint the door jams and do all the edging. They put the hood and doors back on and were washing her up getting ready to paint her yesterday. The pics are sort of grainy because I forgot the real camera at the house and had to use my cell phone but here ya go..Not much longer and she will be all done

Very cool Lori...
That should look pretty bad @zz when it's done
Dave
PS- Who's side skirts are you using? C5 West? and do you have rocker rails? I was looking itto these, but wasn't sure how they'd fit with the rocker rails on my ride... TIA.

The C5West rocker panels are made to fit the slightly wider C5West rear fenders of their C5R Body Kit. HOWEVER, just about anything (i.e., auto body fiberglass body kits) can be modified to suit. Also, as food for thought, ACI offers a rocker panel edge available through Corvette America, Mid America, and, Ecklers that you may wish to consider.

Hi Dave,
Thanks alot. We bought the set (side skirts, classic wing and front spoiler) from that unnamed auction site but the person selling them must have a deal with C5 West because that is where they eventually came from. We do not have the rocker rails, so my husband tells me..I haven't learned what everything is yet..:o

Wooah---what are you having done that it is taking so long? It definitely has to be more than what I had done---either that or they are as busy as all he!!. I put mine in the 1st week in November and it will be done by the 1st week in March---and that is with them not even touching it the first 3 weeks they had it..
Can't wait to see it when it's finished..Staying with the same color?? Make sure you let me know when you get to post more pics---I'd love to see it..

Don't you know it Dave. I was all thrilled when I stopped by Thursday and kicking myself in the azz that I did not bring the good camera. Was ready to choke myslef when I saw how grainy the pics were but at least I have them anyway. They were supposed to spray it yesterday..I'll be there this week again to get some more pics..
Ok---I don't have any screwy goofy guys to put on here to show my excitemet and no little smilies doing cartwheels either---so you get the picture..
Is that how long it normally takes them? Thats an awfully long time to be with out your vett.
I really don't know as this is the first time I have dealt with them and it was a prototype kit. They finished the first one for Carlilse (his wife's) car in August of 2006.
Here's a picture of her car. Mine's got a different hood and rear fascia.

Yes, I am staying with the same color NBM (Navy Blue Metallic). It's a 2001 Coupe. I looked for a long time before finding one as they are very rare.
Yeah, I wish things moved a little faster than they have but I have been lucky as I baby sit my twin brothers two corvette's for him.
He is in the midst of selling both of them to buy an FRC that he is going to make into a track car.
I'm more interested in handling and top speed.
Your vette looks like it's coming along very well. Most CF members either love body kit modifications or hate them.
Looks like yours will be ready just in time for the spring can't wait to see the finished pictures. Post up more in progress pictures when you get some as I'm living vicariously through other member’s mods until I get my vette back.
