....I'm finally in the market to purchase (within the next 2 weeks) a 4 Post Car Lift, but I can't bring myself to buy until I see the interested lifts in person. I've already read all the other car lift threads and I've made up my mind on one of these lifts....the Rotary Revolution XLT, the Direct Lift (Greg Smith) Pro Park 9 Plus and the American Custum Lifts ACP-SUV. If anyone lives in the DC metro area (within 2 hrs) I'd appreciate being able to come by and seeing one of these lifts....and hearing your opinions. Thanks in advancee for your help.
I responded to your email message...I live about 45 minutes north of Philly...so, it might be a little out of your range.
Anyway...like you...I spent hours doing my research before I purchased the Revolution XLT lift. I bought it last August at Carlisle from Danny at Kwiklift. You can see more here: http://www.kwiklift.com/FourPostLift/index.htm
Here are a couple of photos of my lift:
I had to build some ramp extensions to compensate for the low ground clearance of the C5 and the grading slope of my garage floor:
Here is a picture of the clearance with the extended Revolution ramps:
Let me know if you have any other questions or want to see something in particular.
I have the Pro Park 9, if you have any questions send me a PM and I'll send you my phone number. I have had mine for over a year and installed it myself.
Novat, Thanks again for helping me out. I'm going to give one of the local Rotary distributors a chance this week to help me find a local reference. If not, and if you don't mind, I may make a road trip up your way this saturday. I'm going to stop by Greg Smith Equipment in Newark, DE on saturday (8 am), so I'd only be 45 minutes away from your town. I'll send you an email.

I live in Newark DE just off 95. (not too far away) I have two lifts, a Viper on one, and the Vette on the other. You are welcome to stop by if you would like. Respond here or shoot me an Email.

Carz4Toyz, Thanks for the offer. I may stop by your place, too. Can you please let me know what lifts you have. Thanks.
I'm in Fairfax, VA -- a fair drive from Frederick, but if you're interested, I'd be happy to show you my All American Lifts unit. It differs from the other lifts you mentioned because it uses solid posts, not C-channels, with sliders that completely surround the posts.
One of the other reasons I picked this lift is that it is wider (8"?) between the posts than most all the other lifts on the market, which makes driving on/off or parking under the lift (as I do daily) easier, as side-to-side clearance is no concern. As a side plus, I can put my wife's F-150 on the lift w/o having to fold in the mirrors (~1" clearance on both sides).
