Default in dash cd player= error

When it is cool, below 70 deg., cds will not play. I tried a cd player cleaning disc several times and is better but the problem is still there.
Do I just need to replace the unit or is it repairable???? TIA

Probably a dumb ? but have you tried the "CD/AUX" button, but I think the in dash should override the remote deck, just a thought. Good luck

I have a 12 disc in the trunk as well. If I have the unit on for an hour or so, either the radio or the 12 disc unit, the in dash player will work for hours with no problems. The next morning it will eject the cd with the "err" message. Hope this helps....

It seems like the in dash unit needs to be warm to play.

Actually it plays some part, but either way your going to need a new deck.

My stock cd player was doing the same thing and it would even spit the cleaning discs back out. Sometimes cd's would work, sometimes they wouldn't. But near the end it wouldn't play anything. I would take the cd, hold it up to the heater (on at fullblast) and get it hot to the touch. Then I would pop the cd in and it would play.

I just bought an excellent condition stock replacement until I decide what aftermarket setup i want to go with.
