Default Changing rotors advice

I will be installing new rotors on the front of my 98 this weekend. Any tips on doing this? Any special tools?

Thanks all!
V.

1/2" breaker bar as sometimes the bolts to the caliper bracket need a lot of force to brake loose. I use the old pad on the piston side of the caliper and compress it with a 6" clamp. Then just use a little brake lube on the metal to metal contact point between the pads and the calipers.

Probably stating the obvious here, but if they are stock rotors and have been on for a while use some PB Blaster or other penetrating spray on the rears before you start hammering on them to get them off. It really helps.

There are ALOT of threads about doing this. Do a search on this forum and the C5 Tech forum for details.

Not very hard to do a brake job on a C5.

Have fun!!
