I know we all saw "what to do with a Z06 antenna" topic, but I wanted to know what options are out there to shorten the antenna. I do not really want a power antenna. I thought I had the fix when I took my Onstar antenna off another vehicle, but the threads did not fit (looked really cool...about 3 inches tall and stocky). What are y'all doing (other than power and taking it off altogether)?
TIA
I wouldn't shorten the antenna. The correct length for a automobile FM antenna is 33 inches. This affords the best signal to noise reception. If you note, een the windshield antennas in the C5 coupe is appx. 33 inches long.

I was put back by the antenna but have since found reception is superior to the windshield antenna in my 2000 coupe.
I wouldn't take it off as the increased reception is really a plus.
The chromed antenna sounds nice...
