Mine is a quicksilver 2001 also. Oil use is low to non existent. If I may ask...how much did you pay for that one?

Hay this car was on Ebay at Ray Viles Ford in TN car sat in showroom for only a few days I offered 22K and he took it lol....Hell of a ride got to work on my Stick skills tho....Thx Asab............

Congrats on the car. You might be able to find a color matched roof panel in the C5 parts for sale section, or you can buy a new one from one of the forum vendors like Fred Beans, Fichtner Chevy, Gene Culley, etc. You also might be able to find one from Gene at the Karshop. You can always buy a different color one and get it painted to match.

As far as the oil issue goes, it was a problem with the rings in the car. I had the problem on my '00 and had the rings replaced under warranty. Since you just got the car, I would do an oil consumption test to see if your's even has the problem. Make sure the oil is at the full mark and then drive the car, checking periodically to see if any oil has been used. Mine was using a quart every 1200 miles when I had my rings replaced.

I remember the first vette I bought, I had the biggest on when driving it, and that was an 85, now on my 4th vette it's still a hoot heres a wave for you as well
