Default Cup Holder Lid Removal ???

I hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question or that I'm posting in the wrong forum, but...........
How do you remove the drink holder lid on the console? I know that you can buy this lid replacement from Fred Beans so theres a way to install the thing but I haven't been able to find it.
I want to remove the lid so I can put an insert in the opening that can actually be called a cup holder.
Any suggestions or instructions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !!!

Yes it can...

Just remove the small pin from the center of the large pin, then pull the larger pin out...
It sounds a lot more complicated than it is

You might also want to check out girl-ina-box cup holders... they are awesome at holding all kinds of drink sizes.

Ive seen those. I have a cup holder in that space but im small and find it very awkward and a bit out of reach. I use it mainly for storage.

Too bad... I like Lori's... they are adjustable, unlike the one you have ...

Veeeeery nice looking ride, I might add

Now that i know how to remove the lid I can finely use it for what they say it was made for.

You must have some shallow cups...

There's been some discussion on why that lid was put there to begin with... some people thought it was there to keep the drink from spilling into the passenger side floor board instead of the driver's side...

Let us know how it turns out
