Default New vette owner.

I recently purchased a silver 2004 coupe. Very fun car to drive. It already had a Corsa exhaust on it but I am not sure it is correct or what model it is. When it is idling it sounds like a boat. Sounds great when running through the gears but the idle sound has me wondering. I have not heard any other vettes sound like this. Any ideas.

Welcome to the Forum!

Drop an X-Pipe on it and the motor boat sound will go away.

Peace

Welcome to the forum! I have TI's on mine but you could go to www.madvet.com and click on the sound bites on the exhaust section to see if you sound the same.

Or www.youtube.com to find sound clips!

Thanks,Matt

They changed the firing order on the C5's, they sound like a motorboat now.

That is characteristic of the Corsa systems. They seem to pronounce the motor boat sound.

Congrats on the C5

an aftermarket exhaust only amplifies this (an x-pipe may help though)
