Where did you get this info?

Both systems use the same tubes. The main difference between the two systems is the collector, and the downstream tubing (2.5" vs 3").

I've never heard of a 1 7/8" LG header.

Oh I must be confusing it then. I wasn't sure what the difference was, I thought it was that though, my bad.

So even at that, the LGs are 3/4... Lonestar said he agrees with me, but I should get 3/4?

Anyone I PMed Chris @ ECS with the question, hopefully he will let me know what the deal is.

Vette Doctors recommended 7/8's for my head and cam car. For your application, there shouldn't even be a question.

Even a 500rwhp 346 would be best served with a 1 3/4" header.

Remember, headers aren't about flow, their purpose is to scavenge, or help suck the air out of the cylinders. If the tube dia is too large, it reduces the scavenging effect, and defeats the purpose.

Seems so few people understand this, and only think bigger is better.

very true

Got the word from Chris @ ECS... He said even with HIGH boost, they still run the 3/4 to get the air out with the 346. He said even if I was to upgrade the motor to a 383, which is the most cid I would most likely go... He said I should still stick with the 3/4.
