Check local laws...probably illegal in Ct., (everything's illegal in Ct... ) Pay attention to the warnings about rain... you don't want water in your electronics under the battery area. have fun driving "hoodless"

Or do it at night, don't do anything stupid to attract attention, and be conciliatory and respectful if you DO get pulled over.

should I take off the frc's???????? It seems to me like they would blow off. And one of them is already kind of loose.

i was happy to hear the feedback but im still scared. not about chp or CA laws blah blah,,,, but about pieces coming undone and flying out of my engine bay!

I love my state because our cops dont care if you don't have a hood or doors . I had a 82 buick regal 4 door that we cut the rear springs (giving the car a butt drag) sawzalled the roof , painted with house paint , welded a fence post to the trunk so we could fly the jolly rodger (pirate flag) and bolted a 2x12 to the trunk . My buddies and I went through town and we would force friends to walk the plank at traffic lights (beats a chinese fire drill anyday) and drive with life jackets on and "row" with canoe paddles out the now nonexistant windows . We don't have stupid a$$ laws on not having a hood on your car .

I drove mine for a week or so after I had my Maggie installed and was waiting for my MCM hood to be painted. You wouldn't believe the looks I got.
