Default Who Chromes Alternators?

I just called Metron and they no longer offer the service. Is there anyone else that will disassemble, chrome, and reassemble an alternator?
I should have had Metron do mine last year when they was doing them.

Here's a couple links where I've had chrome plating work done in Nashville, TN. Both do excellent work...

Yep. And he even has the proper tool to remove the pulley

I can get the pulley off myself since it's just a slip fit.

So does Cajundude have his own chrome plating shop? I'll send him a PM. Thanks for the lead.

you're lucky with the 1999 alternator. It was either 2000 or 2001 when they started using the "one way clutch" pulley; and it's a SOB to remove unless you have the special tool.

ya know, one can always chrome the alternator themselves...

I believe it was just the automatic cars that got the clutch pulley. My 01 M6 has a normal pulley.

Street and Performance - mine is there now. I have seen their work in the past and it is very good. I called Metron and advanced on work. Metron said they had too many complaints so they decided to stop chroming alternators. Advanced is great, but like many good shops they would not quote me a price. I wanted more than just the alternator done.
