I have just bought my first vette, C5 coupé 2002, millenium yellow, fully optioned. A Corsa pace is ordered and hopefully on its way from US to Sweden. Which benefits will there be with a x-pipe? More power or just better sound?

Better sound. Not sure if the exhaust you bought will have these problems, but I installed an x-pipe on mine to control the resonance and popping from the exhaust.
I researched this a few weeks ago and the general feeling was it would clean up the sound quite a bit, but offer no HP gains to speak of. I have a 2000 6 speed with Corsa exhaust, and just got the X-pipe, but not yet installed. According to CORSA technicians, it will eliminate the motorboat sound, and popping on deceleration.
Once installed I'll let you know....search this forum, and you should find more info...
