I haven't hit them yet, but i'm sure its only a matter of time. I saw the black protector plates that attach underneath the frame rails, as well as the single wheel and the double wheel attachment. What set-up/combo is worth it and what is overkill? Anyone with first hand experience, please share your feelings.
Thanks,
Jeff
Thanks, thats actually a different vendor than I was looking at. Do you have any pics of them on your car? The link to see installation pics is not working.

Try this (I am on coilovers and my car is slammed!)
Thanks for the pic. Which brand rolls and which drags? What about the skid metal plate as well, is that to be used in combo with the wheel or its one or the other?

I wanted the kind that roll. I would rather my car roll over the surface rather than take a direct hit if it just had plates.
Sounds good to me. Those rocker rails you have screw right in right? Easy install? Looking to get all my ducks in a row before spring time
Install seemed pretty easy. The shop that did my coiliovers put them on in about 15min. They used longer screws than what was provided. They said they wanted to make sure they were good and anchored. The rails are very nice and the screw holes are counter sunk so the screws don't get hung up on anything.

Thanks for the help, I just placed the combo order

I think you will like them. Hearing the wheels rolling is much better than hearing a nice long metal on pavment scrape! Same thing goes for the rocker rails if you are used to going in and out of steep driveways or parking lots.

I agree. I'm planning on lowering the car on the stock bolts so I figured might as well get some protection for the car while I'm at it. If you don't mind, why did you go with coilovers and not just stay slammed on the stock bolts?

I had the car lowered on stock bolts for awhile and the front still had too much fender gap for me.
I would have purchased longer bolts for the rear and Vette Brakes springs for the front, but that does not solve the problem. The real problem with lowered C5s is the lack of shock travel. With the coilovers I have 16 way adjustability. more shock travel, and can raise or lower my car depending on what type of driving I am doing.
For @$1,600, the Pfadt coilovers fit the bill for me. I could not be more satisfied.
