This is what I did with my wonderful four day straight at the fire hall. I have been wanting to "brighten up" the engine compartment for some time now. I think I found it. The process took longer than expected but the end result was worth it.
filling in the letters was horrible. like i said i took four days, well three not counting sunday (the race was on). I took GM black touch up paint and took my time. The letters were easy, it was the stripes and 5.7 L that was hard. simply put, take your time.
looks good man. I did the same thing to my stock black fuel rail covers. Except I masked off all the letters and cut them out with an exacto knife. Took forever.
It sure beats paying that rediculous price for Z06 frc's.
I’ve sanded and painted fuel rail covers before. Since I have done this before, I can say you did one hell of a job. Might I suggest a few coats of clear coat, if you like that look.
