So I was looking for a Z06 for like 9 months or so and about a month ago I found the one. It was in Chicago though and I'm in Minnesota so it was a little ways away. We got the deal set up and everything and then a few days before I was gonna go pick it up I had another medical problem and needed surgery.
So I was thinking crap, by the time I recover the car will be gone. I talked to the seller who was very understanding and he said he would hold it for me. That was the good news I needed to stay positive for the 2 weeks I was stuck in the hospital prettymuch going through h*ll.
So I got a one-way plane ticket to Chicago and got picked up in the Z at the airport. The car was everything I expected and more. The seller was very sad to see it go. I was really worried about rock chips and such with the winter roads. So I brought painters tape to cover the nose and behind the wheels. Last minute I decided not to bother with it and just drive it back and hope for the best.
The trip back was awesome, the roads were actually very clean for the most part and the car got a lot of looks. I made it back with no tickets and even better, no noticable rock chips. Today I got it all washed up and now it goes in the garage for the rest of the winter.
This is my first vette so I'm still kinda in shock and just love to look at it. Its a 2002 MY Z06 with 11k miles on it.
Scroll down for pictures, I finally figured out how to post them.

Reason: Pictures
Congratulations on the new (to you) Z06! I look forward to seeing your pictures of it, and welcome to Z06 ownership. Soon your face will hurt from smiling so darn much!
Damn, I sure like yellow. When it comes down to it, there really are no bad colors on a vette. I would not turn one down with any color, as long as it had extremely low miles. Heck, I could even live with a pink one if it had the right miles and price.
