I'm just installed some chrome hoops on my vert using JBQuick, but now the scary part -> cutting the carpet *yikes*
Anyone have tips on how to do this? I don't want to make any mistakes but I imagine i would find a way to measure up the two holes for the hoops and then make a straight cut in between the two so that you can slip the carpet over the hoops?

If you have a vert, the piece of carpet the hoops sit on, should be taken out. Measure where the hoops sit on that carpet, cut the holes out with a hole saw and slit the carpet straight back towards the back of the car from the center of each roll hoops hole. This method is the shortest and easiest cut to hide also easy installation slipping around each hoop. If you installed your hoops on top of the carpet, I donot know the correct method to make it look right.

I installed the "hoops" and then pushed the carpet up to the edge of each pipe. Using a sharp X-Acto knife I cut the carpet as close to the pipe as I could get. Even taking my time there were some very small gaps (between the circular cutouts and the pipes. I elected to find some trim rings (courtesy of Lowe's plumbing dept) they finished it off nicely, however I wish they were smaller in diameter. I had to use a hole saw to make the inside dimension a tad larger (to fit the pipes)
