Most of the debris collects at the top of the radiator shroud, and sometimes my compressed air nozzle will not flush it all out.
I found that a medium sized paint brush is good for freeing up the stuff that gets wedged in. Then the compressed air will usually blow it on out.
The brush is stiff enough to break the stuff loose without bending up the fins on the condenser.
I also use the brush for detailing the engine rather than hosing it down. You can brush away dirt and gravel around the engine compartment. Then wipe it down with a wet cloth or towel.

The stuff you guys have found up there...sounds like we need a contest for "best catch" (with pictures). I think the previous owner mowed his lawn what with all the dead grass and leaves up there. It was definitely up in there when I bought it, no way I sucked it up at my house or around town where I've driven. I took a small whisk broom to it again today after work. What's left is mostly small rocks which can only be described as round like fertilizer or pop rocks/nerds candy. A pain in the azz A flush is in order!
I do like the idea of the screen however most of what I've removed would bypass most any screen except for something very fine mesh say like a window screen type tight weave.
