Kansas Speedway Event

I am planning the Kansas Speedway event again and would like some in put. Right now I have the racing Experience helping out. Here is thier website (http://www.racingschools.com/rs/). If you purchase one of their packages you can drive your own Corvette on the track for free, he will also give you a tape of the ride. If you purchase a package where you drive the car, keep in mind you can PASS other cars, not like the other schools out there. This must be scheduled in advance due to them getting booked up. If you dont purchase a package from them the laps on the track will be $60. We will have a sancutioned, judged car show, a ralley and anything else anyone wants to give me an idea of. Would you like to see vendors down there and what kind? Any other ideas?

Don't know if you can get them to come, but it would be nice to get some of the forum vendors to show up with some merchandise for sale. Places like Corvettes of Houston, Corvette Garage, heck even Ecklers or Mid-America.

If I only want to drive my car on the track you said $60. Is that per lap? Or for the one-time deal of so many laps for $60?
How fast will we be able to go?
When might this event happen? Is this the August show I've heard about?
Any other similar details as they become available will be appreciated. Sorry to ask so many questions...

Id love to do this. Im a HP car newbie and would love a chance to experience and learn to handle even a fraction of my Z's ability...legally

I think it would be awsome to see Vendors there, maybe VE So i can see some stuf first hand, hehehe. Or how about someone with a mobile dybo setup who can do a custom tune for people. Any vendor selling go fast parts I think would be a hit at an event like this, and if theres going to be a car show involved to you have to have the look good vendors too!
Oh yeah, maybe I missed it, but when would this event be held?

hey guys it is a blast this is the one i was also involvd in last year , iy was pretty neat going around the track they want you to stay around 70 mph , for safety sake but i got up to about 90 mph and i heard a c6 say he got upto 100 mph but even at 70 mph through the turns it is pretty awesome it lasted about 15 min . depends on how many cars they have to get out on the track , they rent it by the hr. and it runs something like 1500.00 . stll if you are interested you can pm peggy or even myself and i'll see if i can help also .

We had a blast as well doing a show, a small cruise and laps on the speedway. The St Joe club did a very nice job putting this together.
