Default What happened?

I had an oops in my automatic convertible 02 and had the dealership replace my interior (insurance covered). Every thing came out great except the shift boot and the brake boot. They installed vinyl or plastic ones. I took it back and was told they ordered it by my vin#. I argued with the guy who ordered the parts. He kept telling me that corvettes did not come with leather boots and I had ordered leather on my own, but I didn't. I bought it brand spanking new and it came that way. He told me he would call GM and get back with me but there was nothing he could do otherwise. Does any one know if GM stopped using leather and I'm SOL? I went to the parts department at another dealership and checked the part numbers. They are correct on the invoice, but don't say what the boot is made of. Can any one enlighten me?

You might get better results if you post this question in the C5 section.

I do remember on my '99 that the shift boot and e-break boot where covered in simulated leather. The only place that had "real" leather in the interior was the high wear parts of the seats.
