Don't know. They did not want to admit it was their problem but ultimately did. The scratch, in case anyone is curious, is about 8" long and runs along the bottom of the driver’s door and finishes on the quarter panel. When I picked up the car the dealer (Local Lexus Dealership) had filled the scratch with black paint! Boy did I hit the roof!
Tough call,, have them paint it,, if it comes out good keep the car ,if not get your $$$ back,
I'm leaning inthis direction only because it took quite some time to find a black on black coupe with all of the options I wanted, low miles and good price. So I'll have to see how this all plays out.

Make them paint it and give you some of your purchase money back.
I too would get my money back. The painting scares me.
This is apples to oranges but I found a good deal on a 03 Accord, fully loaded V6 EX, and the tranny went out 2 days later. The dealer offered to fix it or refund it. I chose to refund it and when I was up there getting my money back someone traded in another EX V6 2003 accord with only 25k miles (this was in 06) and I was able to get that one for the same price as the former broken one, which was 4k below blue book.
I think it's a sign you were not meant to have that car. Never be hasty when car shopping, or shopping for anything for that matter.
Was the Lexas dealer working on the column lock problem. Shouda been taken to a Chevy.
The Lexus dealer was working on the column lock issue because they are a certified GM goodwrench place as well. They offer Pontiac, GMC, Lexus and are loosely connected to a chevy dealership.
you've only had it for 3 weeks so you haven't really gotten attached to that car yet. There are tons of great deals out there on low mile cars. Everytime you walk by it you will think you notice the paint is not right.
