In the past 5 years, my lowered car annoyed far less people than you just annoyed by posting that.

My car isn't even lowered...yet. How low can I make my car without bothering you? I'm planning on about 1" on the stock bolts, but I'll wait for your approval. Or maybe you should just go hang out on the Hummer forum where poeple have vehicles with acceptable ride height.

My '98 is lowered 5/8ths (don't know for sure, came that way). Have a rattle at low RPM, 700-900. Asked Chevy Corvette tech. He came up with Document ID# 1566255. Under Recommendations/Instructions: 2a, it states, "If the customer has lowered the vehicle the driveline working angles have also changed. Set the vehicle ride height at the high end of the specification (especially the rear) using service information". I just bought longer lowering bolts. He also gave me Document ID# 416016 "Muffled Clatter Type Noise Coming from Center of Pass. #83-34-07- (Mar27,1998). This suggests replacing rear differential/transmission mount. Both documents address my rattle.
