I loved Lou "I need some SMOKE!!!, How's that for smoke!"
he should have taught the boy how to smoke and not asssumed he new how in his 1 year of driving. like lou we were fish tailing power slide pulling 180's dounuts in the late 80's early 90's and the cops if caught did nothing maybe 50 bucks, nowadays jail, so he cannot be mad at his driver for not knowing what he didnt teach him

^ If the kid would quit acting like he isnt a novice driver then maybe he could listen to Lou. The whole show he was worried about who was not giving him enough credit. Lou is a professional, I would be like a sponge around that guy

I just caught the show for the first time last night, very interesting. What was the car the "host" was driving? It looked like the New Camaro? Is this possible? Someone please clarify.
Iwatched the show and the kid with the vette is a big baby. He wants respect but did not earn it. If I remember right he ran only a 14 sec. quarter mile. My grandma can do better.
He keeps wanting respect as a driver! HUH we have yet to see him drive. I see why Lou is so pissed at him half the time. The vette has made him look alot better than he really is. They should have placed him in the Camaro, something that he would HAVE to drive to be competitive.
I have watched both episodes and the VETTE is what has placed him in first. He had 3 laps on the auto-X track last night. I would have expected to see him get a little more agresive each pass BUT he didnt. It was like he was afraid to push the car. This was proven in the drifting race. All he would have had to do would be get some smoke off the tires and slide it around a couple of corners (like the Camaro) and he would have placed atleast 2nd or 3rd.
I feel for Lou. He has made a GOOD living and reputation on the performance of the Corvettes that he builds. Now he has to deal with a kid that will not listen and make the car look sub-par.
I agree THAT WAS A DRIVER (maybe not the safest move). He was driving to beat a car that he had NO chance against and almost pulled it off. I think they should have let him drift the vette just as a show. That would have been neat to see and the punk kid could have taken notes!!

no dout lou is the man. but how i see it now he has his biggest challange he doesnt have to make a fast car he has to make a driver, ultimate challange, he has to bring himself to do what it takes to train this kid, he is a typ kid, and turn this around. the kid has ability along with faults, but if TEAM LG can win this it would be probally be a bigger accomplishment makeing a driver not just another fast corvette. look at the asian guy ken gushi he could drive the wheels off a lawn mower hes a driver and would be fast in any car apples for apples just my .02
