'02 Vert - The drivers side door has started sqeaking (with a very slight flex) when I put pressure on the arm rest. I believe this has come about from pushing down on the arm rest when adjusting my seating position as I get in the car.
Before pulling the door panel, does anyone know if this might be fixable? I haven't seen the inside of the door panel yet, but I wonder if it's broken tab or support, or something similar. Any other ideas?

There is styrofoam attached to the inner door panel for noise isolation.
If you look by the door pull you'll see a little access panel. Pop it off and make sure the the two (Torq 30) screws are tight.
If they are pop panel by removing screws above and using door panel toll to pop of the attachment fastners. I would some dynomat or other foam insulation between styrofoam and door panel.
The plastic clips break pretty easy so be prepared for that, also the door panel cover breaks pretty easy so just be aware. There cheap part about $3 at the dealer.
Check the two torx screws behind the handle first. The door panel comes off pretty easily. Follow the excellent instructions available at vette essentials web site.
Definitely the styrofoam. I've worked on my '97 already but it didn't take. Need to try another idea. It's tough to shove something into the space yet still be stiff enough to correct the problem by transferring the force along the entire area of styrofoam.
