hi everybody im new here
but i have got a problem about 4 monts ago i bought my first corvette
a 1998 c5
about a week a go i started having problems with the windshield wipers
at first the would come up at random for about 10 seconds and go back down so i cleaned the drain udders(or so im told thats what there called) allot of crud came out and then things started getting words now everytime i start my car the wipers go up and just keep wiping and wont go back down
if anyone has any experience with this problem please help
I took it to the dealer and they said the molding where the bottom of the windshield meets the black plastic tray was unseated and that the cowl drains (utters) were clogged. They took me right away but said I could have pulled the fuse for the wipers to make them stop.

Hope yours is cheaper to fix - good side, this is the only repair on the car so far, having said that I have to go check now 'cause I'm sure I just jinxed myself!!!!!
More than likely its just the wiper module. They have always given GM some problems. I'm pretty sure these are serviceable on your car. It is located under a plastic cover on the wiper motor housing. You may or may not have to remove the wiper arms to remove the cowl screen. I haven't had one apart on a vette in a while. You should be able to fix this for under 50 bucks if you do it yourself.
