Default Wcc Rant

I've purchased accessories from all of the after market companies..Mid America, Ecklers, Corvette Central, Corvettes of Houston and West Coast Corvettes..I ordered a painted license plate surround on Dec 27th..It's March 1st and I still don't have it..the check cleared Jan 12. I know that on painted parts they probably use a third party...but it's still their responsibility to control their vendors..All a company has to offer over any other company selling the same stuff is superior customer service...an unsatisfied customer...is a customer you've lost in the future............

Be nice to know what they have told you

Unresolved disputes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forum allows a factual post on an unresolved dispute with a vendor or another member once all efforts to resolve the issue offline have been exhausted. Then, the post must be factual and cannot be used to bash the vendor or the member. Once the post has been made, it cannot be repeated in other sections or on other days.

Moderators will try to leave such threads open until everybody with direct knowledge of the issue being addressed has had a chance to provide their version of the facts. The thread must not become a running debate on the accuracy of the “facts” and may not deteriorate into an exchange of personal attacks. Neither should be used as an opportunity for speculation by those who do not have direct knowledge of the issue.

Once there has been the opportunity for the facts on all sides to be posted, the thread will be locked. It will remain in the database and will be available for review by those who are researching the topic, vendor or member.

The Forum is not in a position to monitor transactions or to determine the “true facts” in most disputes. Upon request, however, the Forum will try to intervene and mediate a settlement suitable to all parties in a dispute. When issues are resolved in the matter, it will be posted to the original dispute thread so it becomes part of the searchable record. We believe that is a more useful record of performance for potential customers than would be an eBay-style rating system.

As has been our past practice, members or vendors who show a pattern of unresolved issues will be removed from Corvetteforum.com.

WCC... They only treat you well if you spend thousands and are a regular customer... Wait I spent a boat load, and go there often and get the same treatment?

Try OCC... Have only heard good things. They have time for everyone unlike WCC.

i have not spent a "boatload" i have spent my fair share though however i have found "that you get more flies with honey than with vinegar" talk to them - i had an issue with a piece i got from them when i was in the store while on vacation. I phoned 3 weeks later when i got home and unwrapped the piece to find it defective, i called and shipped it back to them and they shipped me the replacement piece before receiving the defective one - thats great service in my books

Suggestion: cancel your order. Buy an unpainted one, paint it yourself. Should save you 40-50 big ones. Even if you do a borderline job of painting, it will look fine because of the out of the way location of the part on the car....been there, done it.

In early January I received a call from them saying the item I ordered would take 2 to 3 weeks...remember that's early January..When that time passed I twice contacted them via interactive website. 1st time they said they'd check and get back to me..a week or so later I contacted them again..Same thing.."Let me check and I'll get back to you" Never did...Finally..3rd time I contacted them..It will ship out Friday or Monday that was Friday Feb 16th...C'mon...I'm as patient as anyone but this is ridiculous........I don't live in Timbuktu...It wasn't a large item..It's a license plate surround...I wasn't asking them to reinvent the wheel..........

At this point you may want to cancel the order, request a refund and try another vendor.
