Default ls1-ls6 swap

I have a few questions about the manifold swap. First off am i going to even notice a difference? Also, how hard is it to do the swap? It shouldnt be to much i would think. Oh and does anyone know where i can pick one up and not have my pants pulled down over the price? Thanks.

Not even vaguely worth the time, effort and cost.

Instead, get a forged motor for close to the same price and drop that in, if that is the direction you wish to go in.

Hi ejoseph234 -

Probably not worth the time and expense of the new manifold - but....

The intake manifold on the LS1/6 ddo not have any coolant passages etc - and are pretty easy to remove and replace, using o rings instead of gaskets and the injectors just clip in and out etc.

So, if you already have the ls6, you probably won't hurt anything by installing it.

best regards -

I changed mine in just a few hours. I got new gaskets for the throttle body and intake runners. You will also have to eliminate the coolant tubes. They use 2 block off plates in the rear and a new ls6 style tube in the front. You won't feel a night and day difference but when you start adding other mods all the small things add up. If this is all you plan to do I would say no. If you are going to keep adding things, headers, intake, h/c package then I would say yes its worth it.

You will pick a big zero from doing this. Don't waste your time if you are looking for a performace gain swap out for some long tube headers with high flow cats. If you want it to retain that NCRS look leave your stock manifold on and save your self some work
