Default g.s. stripe variation

received my g.s. stripes from eckler's this week and noticed that they're two different widths(3&3/4"th x4&3/4")! can anyone explain why? i've never noticed this before on any pix i've seen on g.s. or C5Rs.appr3eciate any imput,thanks!

Got mine from Corvettestripes.com. Two stripes are the same width, and one stripe is wider. I searched for Corvette Grand Sport, one in the 60's and one in the 90's. Looks like there's a narrow one and a wider one.

Check this link, I had asked for "Dimensions for GS fender stripes".

Its probably harder to tell the two different widths in pictures but yes they are different widths. Always have been.

Im not sure about why they are two different widths. I looked at some more pics and it looks like the '96 GS stripes were the same width but all the ones I have seen for the C5 are two different widths. Here is some history I could find about the GS stripes. Doesnt mention them being two different widths though.

They were originally used on the GS racers for observers & pit crew to quickly tell one (painted to match) car from another. In the pits, the crews would be running around (with tires & fuel) and could glance at the fender, making sure who's who. Sometimes hash marks could be different colors, or some had 'em, and some didn't.
