Default "the Rocker Saver"

Hey how about this: a rocker panel saver that is lighter than any metal.Corrosion & chemical resistant , wear resistant, non toxic, self lubricating ,UV and static resistant, vibration and impact resistant, can be recycled.Solid colour all the way through. No paint or powder coating to flake or peel off at first scrape of a speed bump. Tested in CRYOGENIC conditions with no impact. Low coefficient of friction . Precision CNC made with ULTRA HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT space age material .Gives you 1/2" of buffer between your expensive rockers and speed bumps or steep driveways.

No nasty clanky metal scrape sound if you contact anything and they will always be black...

Only 3 holes to drill... the forth bolt uses one factory bolt hole.

Works with normal lifting pucks.

I give it

Looks like star board...

High Density Polyethylene?

Laminated or extruded?

Interesting application, would be curious as to how it works/ holds up.

Good luck with this idea

Delrin or glass filled nylon.

Is that groove milled into the puck for a jackstand? Does it work well? I have thought about doing something like that.

Uh your getting close. Yes that is some of my handy work. I didn't like the idea of jack stands with proper safety pucks so I made these and make them for other forum members as well.

How much do you ask for the pucks. Great idea.

Another stab at the rocker material, ABS?

I might be interested in the jacking puck - great idea to make it compatible with a jackstand.

If I was going to make them out of "plastic" that's what I would use. Performance characteristics are high impact strength and weather resistant. I know you can get a 1/2" x 1" piece 5 feet long for $16.21. A 1/2 x 1-1/2" by 5' is $18.67. It's an easy material to work with

Black UHMW- Ultra HIgh Molecular Weight Polyethelene.
Light, only half the weight of Delrin. Great abrasion resistance.
Has the same coefficient of friction as Teflon (PTFE).
Hard to hold close tolerances, but shouldn't be a problem on this part.
Great idea.
