has anybody shipped tires by either fedex, ups or dhl??
how much did it cost? i am shipping to pa. from il. how did you have to pack them? if you have shipped tires please answer even if it was not far, i have seen articles about having them shipped but cannot find any now. thanks
I RECEIVED tires via UPS from Discounttiredirect. They took one front and one rear and strapped then with a nylon band and also some clear thick scotch tape. Put the shipping label directly on the bead of the tire. Call UPS and ask them what they want. No boxes required. BIGHANK

I shipped 3 set of wheels and tires thru DHL. I had UPS wrap them in bubble and that clear plastic wrap. I spent no more than $50 on shipping for each set of wheels.
Received a few tires via Fed Ex - simply tape the tires together, affix a shipping label, and away they go.
Received 1 set of rims via Fed Ex - put them in boxes (might want to pad a little), tape 2 boxes together, attach shipping label, and off they go. Pretty simple.
I shipped tires through UPS. You don't have to pack them at all, just tape the shipping label firmly to the tire. I don't remember how much I paid, but it wasn't too much. You can go to www.ups.com and type in the dimensions and weight, and they'll tell you the cost.
