I just listed two Corvettes in the Corvette and Chevy Trader and have been receiving calls from people wanting to "help". For about a $100 fee they would hook up buyers with sellers. One actually said they would guarantee full asking price or you get your money back. The other also offered a money back guarantee. Has anyone had any experience with companies like this good or bad? Thanks in advance for and input.

Tell them you'll happily sell them your Vette for $100 less than your asking price and then they can keep whatever they get above and beyond that price...

This happened to me in the past as well but sceptic that I am I ignored them so I don't have any "practical" advice just my mistrust of the sound of it. I agree with the above posters. If you do use this "service" please post the results so we can all learn some good or bad of our fellow man.

Same thing happened to me the moment I listed my Camaro in the paper, they started calling and wanting to sell it for me. I sold the car, flew up to Bosie and purchased the Vette and drove it home. 3 days later the same company called and said they had buyers waiting for the Camaro. I told them it was sold and they called back again 2 days after that. Sounded like a boiler room operation to me!
Sounds like a scam. Either one of two things.
1. They find a "buyer" and convince you that the funds are good, when in reality they are accepting a phony cashier’s check. By the time you find out, the "helper" and the "buyer" are long gone.
2. They do absolutely nothing of value, and just keep your $100. They "money back guarantee" never materializes.

DUDE!
If they can guarantee full asking price why don't they offer to buy the car for $500 less and resell it themselves? They make $500, you sell the car quick.

I did something like this recently. The buyers that they referred either didn't materialize or their contact info was bogus. I eventually sold it on my own anyway. So, save yourself the $ and sell it on your own.
Are you guys telling me all those letters I get telling me that I'll get hundreds of thousands of dollars because I helped a guy in Argentina hide his money are fake???????
Similar situation happened when we listed my wife's 330xi. Got calls from two out of state "brokers" saying they had buyers but they were offering less than I was asking so I hung up before getting any other details.
These are probably unlicensed car sellers or internet 'curb stoners'. More than likely they will sell much above what you are asking and keep the difference in addition to the $100.00. I'd stay away, sell through your local paper, Autotrader.com, or the Forum. I bought mine through Autotrader with no issues. Remember if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
