buy some automotove weather stripping at your local autoparts store or some 5/8" x 3/4" household weather stripping form Lowes or Home Depot. Does the trick at a fraction of the price of hood seal kits...

It's cheap and helps keeping the engine a little cleaner

I can't believe you are risking life and limb by NOT having this mod. Why GM didn't put it on the car from the factory is inexcuseable. Without this VERY IMPORTANT mod, your car could explode into a fire ball of molten death at any second. Not only are you endangering your own life, but the lives of those in your zip code, along with all of the domestic and wild animals, to say nothing of the damage to the plant life, and the long term effects that the exposion will have on the enviroment. You should RUN, not walk to the closest hood seal retailer and buy at least two of them. Personally, I run 3 of them, but then again, I'm overly cautious. They do keep out some of the dirt and some of the moisture, so I feel they are worth putting on.

Now I just have to find out where the fallout shelter for my zip code is incase some idiot in my neighborhood is driving around without hood seals; I am sure the explosion will cause longterm DNA damage
