I would like to upgrade my coupe to a Z-06 Exhaust.
Do I need to replace the cat pipe? Would it make any difference if I go from the existing coupe H-pipe to the Z-06 H-pipe?
How high off the ground do I need the car to switch exhausts?
Im all
Thanks for the response. Sounds like I may need a lift.
Anyone switch out the H-pipes? Is there any difference between the H-pipes? I assume the pipes are all the same diameter.
Honesty...........I not sure it is worth the effort to go to a Z06 exhaust. If you want to really upgrade try GHL or Corsa. Just my .02

I thought about the corsa but unsure. I assume the Corsa touring edition has a similiar sound to the TI and the pace car is considerably louder. Does this sound right??
I am going by what others have told me as I personnally have not heard these exhaust
Well I jacked the car up about two and a half to three ft. today and can not seem to get the right side off I am changing to Z06
Did you loosen up the sway bar? That will definitely make a difference.
Edit: You can leave the end links attached. Just let it droop, and you should have enough room. I had the rear up on ramps, then jacked it up higher and placed it on jack stands at the frame rails.

I forgot to mention my rear sway bar was removed as well To get them on/off turn it sideways to get the pipe over the rear axle then you can get it in there better

I've got Z06 exhaust on my convertible; nice exhaust. But recently I added the American Racing long tube headers, X pipe and high flow cats and that really wakes things up. The noise is not obnoxious at all, but the seat of the pants feel is fantastic. The fit and finish of these headers is great also, very nicely designed and fabricated.

You can just bolt on the Z06 mufflers without changing anything else. I wouldn't bother changing out the pipes from the exhaust manifold back to the cat back.
